EmbryoFixTM is a ready-to-use fixative especially suitable for the fixation of embryonic tissues. This solution, consisting of phosphate-buffered paraformaldehyde and picric acid, is prepared mainly according to Zamboni and de Martino1. The fixative is packaged in polyethylene vials of convenient tissue-sample size (20 ml) with leak-proof caps.
